
Vaccine Description
HPV vaccine is inactivated vaccine recommended for boys and girls at 12-13 years through school vaccination campaigns. In addition, the vaccine is recommended individuals at risk of infection at 9-45 years of age according to Ministry of Health guideline. It is administered as a 2 or 3 dose series depending on the age at vaccination. Mild adverse local reactions including pain, redness and swelling at injection sites can occur. Fever and other mild reactions including headache, dizziness, muscle pain, joint pain, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain can occur also. Rarely severe allergy to any of the vaccine components might occur.
