Vaccine Description


Rota virus vaccine is live oral vaccine given routinely to infants according to the routine vaccination schedule in two doses at age of 2 and 4 months in order to protect them against moderate to severe disease. The vaccine is generally safe, but infants might become irritable, or have mild, temporary diarrhea or vomiting after getting a dose of rotavirus vaccine. (Some studies have shown to increase the risk of bowel blockage with in certain time following rotavirus vaccine that might need to be treated in a hospital)
