Vaccine Description
The vaccine is formed from killed rabies virus. It is given as post exposure vaccination if history of exposure (bites or scratch..) from dogs, bats, and other animals in rabies-affected areas.It is recommended to administer 5 doses of rabies vaccine-one dose immediately after the exposure, and additional doses on the 0, 3rd, 7th, 14th, 28th days. The adverse event following rabies vaccine includes soreness, redness, swelling, or itching at the injection site.
