Services related to Vulnerable Groups

As part of the Ministry of Health’s efforts to provide advanced and specialized healthcare services for the most vulnerable groups, including the elderly, persons with disabilities, children, patients with chronic diseases, and low-income families, these services include free periodic check-ups, vaccination programs, free or subsidized treatment for chronic diseases, mental health services, social support, and awareness programs to promote health education.

Additionally, government hospitals and primary healthcare centers offer advanced services for these groups, such as online appointment booking, telemedicine , prescription delivery , and designated waiting areas equipped with necessary facilities for the elderly and persons with disabilities.
The Ministry of Health has taken effective steps to ensure that vulnerable groups have access to essential healthcare services through initiatives that reinforce the concept of comprehensive healthcare. These efforts aim to provide appropriate care and improve their quality of life, in line with Bahrain’s vision to achieve universal health coverage and social equity.
