The Bahraini Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Royal Medical Services and the Information & eGovernment Authority, has announced the development of an electronic registration system for organ donation services through the National Portal Bahrain.bh. This service allows citizens and residents to register as organ donors during their lifetime or after death, with the ability to track their application status online.
Minister of Health, Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, emphasized the importance of this initiative in promoting community generosity and saving lives. She highlighted that the national program "Whomsoever Revives It" aims to facilitate donation procedures and support patients suffering from organ failure.
The CEO of the Information & eGovernment Authority also stressed the role of this service in achieving the goals of the "Our Bahrain" plan to enhance social cohesion. The announcement included details on registration requirements and steps, along with an invitation for the community to participate in this humanitarian initiative.
