L-arginine is naturally occurring amino acid. Indications: as an intravenous stimulant to the pituitary for the release of human growth hormoe in patients where the measurmemet of pituitary reserve for HGH can be used of diagnostic. Used as a diagnostic aid in such conditions. Cautions: is hypertonic and acidic solution can cause irritating and damage to tissues. Contra-indications: hypersensitivity Side Effects: non specific effects are nausea, vomiting, headache, flushing numbness and local venous irritation. Dose: Adult dose 30g by intravenous infusion over 30 minutes. Total dose should not exceed 30g Child; from 59kg or less base on weight from 60kg or more recommended dose is 30g. |
