This is an analogue of gonadorelin with similar properties. Indications: prostate cancer; advanced breast cancer in pre- and peri- menopausal women and in the management of endometriosis and uterine fibroids. Cautions: patients with metabolic bone disease (decrease in bone mineral density may occur); injection site should be rotated. Side effect: hot flushes, decreased libido, breast swelling and tenderness; skin rashes. Dose: advanced breast cancer and prostate cancer by SC injection into anterior abdominal wall, 3.6mg every 28 days. |
