This is a semi-synthetic derivative of podophyllotoxin with antimitotic and antineoplastic properties. Indications: small cell carcinoma of the bronchus; lymphomas, and testicular cancer. Cautions: renal impairment. Contra-indications: Severe hepatic impairment; pregnancy & breast feeding. Side effect: alopecia, myelosuppression (dose-related), nausea and vomiting. Dose: Oral: 120 – 140mg/m2 daily for 5 days. |
