Indications: Relieving occasional constipation, promotes peristalsis and evacuation of the lower bowel. Contra-indications: Known hypersensitivity to glycerin anuria, severe dehydration. Precautions: use cautiously in hypovolemia, confused mental state, congestive heart failure, elderly, senile, diabetic, and severely dehydrated patients, pregnancy. Side effect: Anal irritation; burning sensation; diarrhea; gas; nausea; stomach cramps. Dose: Children: 1 child suppository as needed. Adult: 1 adult suppository as needed. |
