Indications: reduction of elevated intracranial pressure; central nervous system depressant; convulsive states; hypomagnesaemia. Dose: by IM injection, 1-5 g as a 25 or 50% solution, repeated up to 6 times daily, if necessary. By IV injection or infusion, 1-4 g as a 10 or 20% solution at a rate not exceeding 150 mg per minute. |
