Indications: motor tics, stuttering, and symptoms of Gilles de la Tourette syndrome and related Choreas; as an antipsychotic.

Cautions, Contra-indications: & Side Effects: See under antipsychotic drugs.

Dose: by mouth, 0.5-1.5 mg 3 times daily adjusted according to response; 10 mg daily or more may occasionally be necessary in Gille de la Tourette syndrome.

Child, stuttering, 50 mcg/kg daily; Gilles de la Tourette syndrome, up to 10 mg daily.
