Description |
The word (hemophilia) means blood thinners, which is a hereditary blood disease caused by a deficiency of clotting factors in the blood so that the blood of a person with hemophilia does not clot normally; making it bleed for a longer period. |
Causes |
Hemophilia is caused by a mutation , in one of the genes, that is responsible for making the clotting factor proteins needed to form a blood clot.
