Under the patronage of Dr. Shawqi Abdulla Amin, Dean, College of Health Sciences, a Certificate Awarding Ceremony for the medical equipment staff who have successfully completed the Human Anatomy and Physiology course was held on 24th February 2009. 26 participants had the opportunity to attend an extensive course of Anatomy and Physiology covering major systems in human body and exploring latest techniques and equipments used in SMC. The course was conducted to reflect the strong believe of the collage in investing in Human Resources making them stronger, more knowledgeable, and highly qualified to effectively contribute to the making of a bright and prosperous future. Dr Shawqi addressed the audiences congratulating the 1st class by saying " It is my great pleasure to be here with you today to address and congratulate the first class of the Medical Equipment Technicians who have completed one of our short courses which is the Anatomy and Physiology course. Let me tell you, on behalf of my self and the college faculty that we are very proud and honored to be able to provide you with this learning opportunity which we sincerely hope would favorably impact your professional development and hence the services provided to the people of Bahrain. "And he added " We believe that the College role is not just to graduate Nurses and Allied Health professionals but also to serve the community as a whole through providing continued education programs and other self development opportunities in various health related & other disciplines. " Dr. Ibrahim Yaqoob, Director of Medical Equipment Department also addressed the audience with inspiring words expressing his visions on empowering the health providing force in Bahrain. Finally, one of the course participants, Mr. Moh'd Jawad Ahmed Hubail, on behalf of the class, expressed his great thanks and gratitude for the CHS and the Medical Equipment Directorate for providing such an opportunity where participants could maximize there potentials. The ceremony ended at 12.00 PM.
