Kingdom of Bahrain Participates in the 101st Executive Board Meeting of the Gulf Health Council in Riyadh

Dr. Lulwa Rashid Shuwaiter, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, and Dr. Samia Ali Bahram, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health, represented the Kingdom of Bahrain as members of the Executive Board of the Gulf Health Council during its 101st meeting, held at the Council’s headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination among member states to advance the joint Gulf health agenda and achieve greater integration across various health sectors.
Board members discussed several key topics aimed at continuing the coordination of joint Gulf efforts, presenting constructive initiatives, and supporting evidence-based health policymaking that keeps pace with regional and global developments. The meeting also reviewed the latest updates to the Gulf Health Council’s Strategy for 2026–2030, aligning with the aspirations of the coming phase.
This meeting forms part of the Gulf Health Council’s ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration and unify health visions among GCC countries to address current and future challenges and to support sustainable health development across the region.
