Kingdom of Bahrain Marks World Patient Safety Day

The Kingdom of Bahrain is joining the international community in commemorating World Patient Safety Day, observed annually on September 17. This year’s theme is “Safe Care for Every Newborn and Child”, carried under the slogan “Patient Safety Right from the Start.”
On this occasion, the Ministry of Health reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the rights of newborns and children to receive high-quality healthcare services from the very first moments of life. The Ministry underscored its ongoing efforts to develop and implement sustainable plans that ensure safe care, while empowering families and caregivers to play an active role in promoting the safety and wellbeing of this vital age group. It also emphasized the importance of advancing scientific research in the field of pediatric and neonatal patient safety.
The Ministry further highlighted the need to strengthen cooperation across the health sector, government entities, and civil society, as well as to support initiatives and strategies that enhance the safety of newborns and children. These efforts align with Bahrain’s national objectives to continuously improve the quality and standards of healthcare services.
