As Part of Preparations for Ashura 1447 AH - Minister of Health Inaugurates Imam Hussain Medical Clinic in Manama

As part of the health preparations for Ashura season 1447 AH, Her Excellency Dr. Jaleela bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, inaugurated the Imam Hussain Medical Clinic in the capital, Manama, in the presence of Mr. Yousif bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Jaafari Waqf Council, Dr. Ijlal Faisal Al Alawi, Chief Executive Officer of the Primary Healthcare Centers, Mr. Hassan Abdullah Al Madani, Deputy Governor of the Capital Governorate, along with a number of officials and stakeholders.

On this occasion, Her Excellency expressed her deep appreciation for the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect him, regarding ensuring all success factors and providing the necessary resources to support the Ashura season. She also praised the ongoing follow-up by the Government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, for all procedures and initiatives implemented by relevant entities in line with the Royal Directives, which serve as a key driver in intensifying efforts and enhancing preparedness to safeguard public health during the season.

Minister Dr. Jaleela emphasized that the inauguration of Imam Hussain Medical Clinic comes as part of an integrated healthcare framework, focused on early readiness and effective coordination with various stakeholders to provide high-quality and efficient health services. She noted that the health sectors, in collaboration with relevant authorities, continue to develop their services, strengthen the capacities of medical and nursing teams, and equip the clinic with the necessary supplies and medications. This effort underscores the importance of ensuring a safe health environment that enables the public to perform religious rituals with reassurance and safety. She also commended the efforts of clinic staff, logistical support teams, and partners for their cooperation in this initiative.

For his part, Mr. Yousif bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Jaafari Waqf Council, stressed that health and safety are key pillars in the Ashura planning process, noting that the inauguration of the Imam Hussain Medical Clinic reflects the value of community partnership during religious and national occasions. He highlighted that the clinic contributes significantly to delivering the best possible healthcare services in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, government hospitals, and primary healthcare centers.

Al Saleh pointed out that the clinic has, for over two decades, proven its standing as a distinguished medical institution, providing high-quality healthcare services through a professional medical and nursing team, which has helped offer comprehensive coverage throughout the Ashura season and enhance health security for participants and visitors to the capital. He expressed confidence in the continued success of this model and extended his best wishes to the clinic staff.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ijlal Faisal Al Alawi, CEO of Primary Healthcare Centers, confirmed the readiness of the medical team at the clinic to deliver healthcare services during Ashura. She noted that the clinic has been equipped with qualified and trained personnel to manage medical cases, ensuring safe and reliable care for all visitors.

Dr. Al Alawi emphasized the importance of community partnership in supporting healthcare efforts and praised the fruitful collaboration with Al Hilal Hospital and Ibn Al Nafees Hospital, who contributed to expanding the scope of services by providing additional staff and medical equipment. She also expressed her sincere gratitude to all medical, administrative, and support staff working in the clinic, appreciating their efforts in serving participants during this important religious season.

Mr. Hassan Abdullah Al Madani, Deputy Governor of the Capital Governorate, commended the constructive cooperation between public and private health institutions and volunteer teams. He affirmed that this collaboration reflects active community partnership and strengthens the collective efforts aimed at maintaining public health during Ashura, aligning with shared goals to protect the wellbeing of society.

He noted that the Governorate, in continuous coordination with relevant authorities, is actively overseeing all health and organizational aspects to ensure medical support and health regulation compliance. He stressed the importance of adhering to health guidelines and instructions issued by concerned entities to protect public safety and prevent potential risks.
