Her Excellency Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, affirmed that the successful launch of “Al-Munther,” Bahrain’s first satellite, is a new achievement added to the series of honorable accomplishments attained by the Kingdom of Bahrain. This success comes under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister. She emphasized that achieving national milestones in various fields that align with scientific advancements and future technologies, through the efforts of young Bahraini talents, is a continuous source of pride for all.
The Minister of Health commended the supportive efforts of His Highness Major General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Commander of the Royal Guard, and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defense Council. She also praised the continuous achievements of the National Space Science Agency with the launch of “Al-Munther.” She highlighted that Bahrain’s keen interest in entering the field of space sciences, artificial intelligence, and participating in research and studies to serve various sectors reflects the nation’s ongoing comprehensive developmental progress toward leadership on different levels, reinforcing its distinguished position regionally and globally.
Her Excellency further explained the significance of utilizing space technologies and applications in addressing challenges faced by the healthcare sector. This contributes to supporting healthcare professionals, enhancing overall services, and ensuring their sustainability. She noted that joint efforts continue to maximize the benefits of space sciences, build knowledge, exchange expertise, and advance scientific progress across various fields, particularly in the health sector.
