The National Health Survey Committee held a meeting attended by Dr. Samia Bahram, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health at the Ministry of Health and Chairperson of the National Health Survey Committee; Ms. Doaa Sultan Mohammed, Deputy CEO for Statistics and Population Registry at the Information & eGovernment Authority and Vice Chairperson of the Committee; and Dr. Iman Abdul Kareem, WHO Health Survey Expert, on the occasion of her visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting also included committee members to discuss the progress and key steps related to the National Health Survey.

During the meeting, participants reviewed and discussed several important topics and updates concerning the implementation of the health survey, its progress, and ongoing procedures. Additionally, they examined key preliminary statistical data, research forms, and the steps for data analysis, along with the upcoming phases of the project.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health, in partnership with the Information & eGovernment Authority, launched the third National Health Survey in the Kingdom of Bahrain in October 2024. The survey targets individuals aged 18 and above across all governorates, covering a random sample of over 4,000 households. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance and provide a comprehensive database of health-related information, supporting healthcare projects, development plans, and policy-making in the Kingdom.
