Minister of Health Receives Head of the International Organization for Migration Mission to the Kingdom of Bahrain

Her Excellency Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, received Ms. Aishath Ahema Shareef, Head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission to the Kingdom of Bahrain, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in health-related areas concerning the care and support of expatriate workers, ensuring their health and safety.
During the meeting, the Minister of Health reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, may God protect him, and with the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to strengthening public health and ensuring the provision of comprehensive healthcare services to all segments of society, including expatriate workers, through a healthy and sustainable work environment.
Her Excellency highlighted Bahrain’s efforts in providing healthcare to expatriate workers through an advanced healthcare system, which includes periodic medical examinations, health awareness programs, preventive vaccinations, and treatment services. These initiatives contribute to enhancing public health and preventing infectious and non-communicable diseases.
For her part, the Head of the IOM Mission praised Bahrain's remarkable efforts in protecting the health and safety of expatriate workers, emphasizing the importance of enhancing joint cooperation to develop health initiatives targeting this group and strengthening rapid response mechanisms to address the healthcare needs of migrants.
