Ministry of Health: Local Markets in Bahrain Free from Coca-Cola Products Withdrawn in European Countries

The Ministry of Health has confirmed that local markets in the Kingdom of Bahrain are free from Coca-Cola products that were withdrawn in several European countries. This assurance comes after the local factory was inspected and necessary laboratory tests were conducted on the production line at the Coca-Cola factory in Bahrain by the Ministry of Health, which confirmed the safety of the products available in the kingdom and their compliance with all approved health standards.
In this regard, the Ministry, represented by the Food Control Section of the Public Health Directorate, collected samples of Coca-Cola products available in local markets and subjected them to tests at public health laboratories. The results showed that local products contained no abnormal levels of chlorates, confirming their safety for consumption.
The Ministry of Health emphasized that food products and beverages available in local markets in the Kingdom of Bahrain are subject to regular inspections and testing procedures to ensure their quality and safety, in accordance with local, Gulf, and international health standards, ensuring the health and safety of both citizens and residents in the kingdom.
