Two employees from the Bahraini Genome Project have achieved a new academic milestone by obtaining master’s degrees from the College of Medicine at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, specializing in advanced fields of genomic sciences.

Ms. Balqees Hassan Shaaban earned a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, with her thesis focusing on "Integrative Genomic Analysis of Adrenocortical Carcinoma."

Meanwhile, Ms. Budoor Ahmed Jaber obtained a Master’s degree in Genomic Medicine, with her research thesis examining "The Role of the PHF6 Gene in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia."

This remarkable academic achievement reflects the ongoing efforts to enhance national expertise in advanced genomic fields, supporting medical research and contributing to the development of the National Genome Project and the healthcare sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
