As part of HM King (state visit) to Oman, Bahrain and Oman sign MoU in healthcare sector

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ministries of Health of Bahrain and Oman, as part of the (state visit) of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Sultanate of Oman, in response to an invitation from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani on behalf of Bahrain and Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of Oman.

Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayyed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, emphasised the strong and historic ties between Bahrain and Oman, particularly in the healthcare sector.

The minister emphasised that the MoU reflects the importance of enhancing cooperation in healthcare systems, exchanging expertise, and improving primary and secondary healthcare services. It also aims to foster collaboration in public health, joint research, continuous medical education, and organising visits for experts and specialists in various domains.

Dr. Hasan noted that the MoU underscores the shared commitment to improving health and healthcare services for citizens and achieving the health aspirations of both nations.
