2 restaurants closed, 22 fined for violating health protocols
The Ministry of Health announced the closure of two restaurants in the Southern Governorate for violating the precautionary health measures to address the coronavirus in the yellow level.
The measure was taken following an inspection campaign conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority.
Inspectors visited 265 restaurants and cafes and took measures against 22 prior to referring them to competent legal authorities for flouting health protocols.
The ministry also carried out 17 visits to salon, and took legal measures against nine gents' salons for violating health measures.
The ministry called on everyone to continue adhering to the precautionary measures, and to report any violations or irregularities immediately , noting that the inspection campaigns are aimed at protecting public health and curbing the spread of the pandemic.
