Mosque temporarily closed after detecting Covid-19 case

The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments has closed a mosque in the Southern governorate for one week after a coronavirus (Covid-19) infected case was detected among the worshippers.

The decision was taken in coordination with the medical taskforce to enable the relevant teams to carry out the contact tracing and sanitization process and make sure the precautionary measures are properly followed in the mosque.
 
The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments affirmed strict follow-up on implementation of the precautionary measures in mosques and intensification of inspection campaigns to protect the health and safety of worshippers.
