Complying with health regulations during Ramadan urged

Chief Executive of the Primary Healthcare Centres, Dr. Jalila Sayed Jawad, has affirmed the importance of adhering to all precautionary measures during the holy month of Ramadan to protect the health and safety of the community and curtail the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
 
Dr. Jawad praised the great support accorded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the medical professionals and workers at the front lines. She also lauded the national efforts of Bahrain taskforce, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which won international praise in dealing with the pandemic and providing optimum health care for citizens and residents.
 
Dr. Jawad stressed the importance of complying with the regulations and decisions issued by the National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus (COVID-19). She urged to avoid bif family gatherings during Iftar, stressing the need to boost social awareness of the risks of such gatherings in raising the caseload and transmitting infection to people with chronic and latent disease. She called on all to continue adhering to the precautionary measures like wearing face masks, social distancing, disinfection and cleaning hands and staying indoors and going outside only when necessary. She noted that combating the virus requires real commitment and cooperation as well as social responsibility of all members of the community. 
 
Dr. Jawad praised the massive turnout for the national vaccination campaign, which will contribute to curbing the spread of the virus and dealing successfully with the pitfalls of the pandemic. She stressed the Kingdom’s advanced status in rapidly conducting the vaccination campaign for citizens and residents, calling on all to register for the vaccine to attain full recovery from the pandemic.
