Health Ministry Undersecretary participates in GCC meeting
Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Walid bin Khalifa Al Manea participated in the 16th meeting of health ministries undersecretaries in GCC countries, to discuss COVID-19 developments.
The meeting reviewed the measures taken by each country to prevent the spread of the virus, as well as the developments related to the vaccination champagnes, discussing the experiences of each of the GCC countries and the mechanisms for distributing the vaccine, and the importance of exchanging information.
The GCC guide for COVID-19 vaccines was also discussed, and states' proposals and requests regarding developments in health permits among the GCC states and its privileges were reviewed.
The undersecretaries valued the great efforts made by health workers in the GCC countries to treat people under these circumstances, and their tangible contributions to limiting the spread of the coronavirus.
They urged citizens and residents of GCC countries to fully adhere to preventive measures such as: wearing masks, avoiding gatherings, and maintaining physical distancing, especially in the holy month.
