Health Minister receives AACE in GCC President

Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh, received Diabetes, endocrinology and lipopathy consultant, the elected president of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) in GCC Dr. Nisreen Al Sayed.
 
The minister praised her significant contributions in scientific and medical research that raised the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment services on an international level.
 
The meeting reviewed medical issues related to studying, diagnosing and treating diseases especially lipid imbalance, high cholesterol, genetic factor role and the importance of early diagnosis for such diseases.
 
The minister was briefed on AACE activities in GCC and discussed the possibility of developing a national strategy for lipid deficiency diseases in Bahrain as Dr. Al Sayed was chosen to represent Bahrain in European Genetic Cholesterol and Atherosclerosis Society as she is the only Bahraini and the first Gulf Arab to obtain the American Board in the field of lipid imbalance.
 
Dr. Al Sayed expressed appreciation to the ministry’s support and cooperation, praising the country’s support initiatives of announcing a day to celebrate Bahraini doctor and dedicating HRH Premier Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Award for Bahraini Doctors.
