Health Ministry inspects 4200 beauty salons, barber shops
The Ministry of Health continues its inspection visits to the 4200 beauty salons and barber shops, in coordination with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, to ensure their commitment to health standards and requirements.
The visits, which started yesterday, are within the framework of efforts to ensure that the preventive and precautionary measures are implemented to ensure the safety and health of the citizens and residents from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Beauty salons and barber shops were re-opened on Wednesday, May 27, following a recommendation by the National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus, and Edict 32/2020 issued by the Health Minister, including the necessary anti-coronavirus requirements to be followed by those facilities, and the penalties to be inflicted on violators, as stipulated in law 34/2018 promulgating the Public Health Law.
In this regard, Public Health Director at the Health Ministry, Dr. Najet Abu Al-Fateh, said that the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism are coordinating to intensify their inspection visits to ensure commitment to requirements in order to curb the spread COVID-19 and preserve public health.
