HRH the Crown Prince receives the Speaker of the Council of Representatives and the Shura Council Chairman

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, today received HE Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Council of Representatives Speaker, and HE Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, at HRH’s majlis at Gudaibiya Palace.

HRH stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation between the Executive and Legislative Authorities, in order to further realise the Kingdom’s wide-ranging development goals and meet the needs of Bahraini citizens, under the leadership of HM King Hamad.

HRH the Crown Prince highlighted that the Kingdom continues to implement forward-looking citizen-centric development strategies, that ensure wider diversification across the Kingdom’s sectors and the provision of quality opportunities for Bahrainis.

 

Speaking about the importance of higher education, HRH the Crown Prince noted that Bahraini students will continue to receive support to pursue their academic ambitions, underscoring the importance of enrolling in recommended universities.

HRH the Crown Prince thanked HH Shaikh Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training, and Members of the Council of Representatives, for their efforts in addressing the issue of Bahraini Human Medicine Students enrolled at Chinese Universities.

HRH then went on to reiterate that the Kingdom of Bahrain remains vigilant in light of the global outbreak of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), and continues to implement preventative measures that ensure the safety of citizens and residents.

 

For their part, the Council of Representatives Speaker and the Shura Council Chairman expressed their gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince for his support for enhanced cooperation between the Executive and Legislative branches.

The meeting was also attended by HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, HE Sameer Abdulla Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as a number of other senior officials.
