Health Ministry sets up plan to prevent Coronavirus spread

Health Epidemiology department at the Health Ministry held a meeting, chaired by the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health, Dr. Maryam Al-Hajeri.

The meeting included representatives from Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC), BDF Hospital, King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH).

They reviewed regional and international developments regarding the new Coronavirus spread. The attendees decided to set up a joint and integrated strategic plan to strengthen the precautionary measures to provide all that is needed for the treatment in all health centers and hospitals.

Dr. Al-Hajeri discussed the procedures to monitor all air and marine outlets to prevent any incoming suspicious cases, in addition to ensuring that all laboratory preparations are completed, while samples are collected, checked and verified.

She stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the ministry and all concerned parties, while setting a future plan to confront similar situations.
