Minister of Health receives Chairwoman of National Institution for Human Rights
H.E Minister of Health, Faiqa Saeed AlSaleh received H.E Ms. Maria Khouri, Chairwoman of the National Institution for Human Rights on Sunday, 20th Feb 2019 to review various topics related to health in general and health services provided to citizens and residents in specific. Alongside her excellency, Dr. Waleed Almanea, Undersecretary of MOH attended was present in this meeting.
During the meeting, H.E welcomed the institution’s delegate and praised the great role of Human Right institution in illumination and development of this very important field. As she confirmed that the ministry of health works in collaboration with National and International Human rights and legislative institutions in different events and Regional or International Forums of relevance to Human Rights.
Sickle Cell Anemia was addressed in this meeting and MOH’s efforts towards providing latest therapeutic methods for this category of patients to meet their health demands.
For his part, Undersecretary of MOH, Dr. Waleed Almanea stressed on the importance of strengthening communication between MOH and the National Institution for Human Rights, and pointed that the ministry with the support global expertise such as; John Hopkins university has set a developmental and typical services for Sickle Cell Anemia patients.
The ministry is keen on providing patients with latest health services from all around the world, as it applies all adopt all policies and procedures to develop therapeutic services and enhance the lives of sickle cell Anemia patients. Said Assistant Undersecretary of Hospitals, Dr. Mohamed Amin AlAwadhi.
For her part, Ms. Maria Khouri praised the efforts paid by MOH to maneifist the kingdom’s health achievements and expressed her thanks and appreciation for the ministry’s continuous support and communication with the institution.
