Minister of Health receives Al-Sammak (of member of the House of REpresentatives)

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Mr.Sadeq A-Alkareem Al-shehabi, received her Excellency Dr.Jameela Al-Sammak, a member of the House of Representative, in his office in the Ministry bureau in Juffair last week to discuss the major issues related to health sector and the services provided to citizens in the presence of Mrs. Fatima A-Wahed ,Undersecretary of Human Recourses and Services. At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of Health welcomed His Excellency the Deputy Minister and Praised the fruitful corporation between the executive and the legislature, which was clearly evident through the work of the government program, which is a positive step on the road to greater achievement and excellence in government work. As he praised during the meeting the significant role played by the members of the House of Representatives in Bahraini society through raising and discussing the most prominent issues, which captures the aspects of corporation between the Ministry and the Council to serve the people of this beloved country. For its part, Her Excellency Dr.Jameela Al-Sammak praised MOH efforts, emphasizing the importance of strengthening joint efforts between the Executive and the Legislature, in order to achieve the aspirations of the citizens in the various aspects and mainly the Health sector. As Her Excellency suggested the expansion of working hours in Kuwait Health Center to 12 Pm going on the citizen’s desire, for they need a closer Health Centers to their residence and to ease the pressure laid currently on Hamad Town Health Center during the Evening. Her Excellency raised also an inquiry in regard to MOH strategy in respect to Sickle-Cell anemia patients. For its part, the Minister of Health emphasized on the Ministry’s implementation of many of the Coordinating plans for the upcoming stage, to meet the needs of the citizens of health services, through the expansion of working hours in many of the health centers in Bahrain areas and mainly those of high number of population. in Regard to Sickle-Cell anemia patients, His Excellency the Minister of Health confirmed that the Ministry is going according to the directives of His Highness the Prime minister to provide this category with the utmost care. As he pointed to the supportive role played by the Ministry to take care of them, through Establishing Genetic blood diseases center in SMC which includes about 90 beds. The Ministry also received lately a high-level medical delegation that includes a number of Experts from Johns Hopkins University, to evaluate the quality of the therapeutic services provided by the Ministry of Health For SCA patients in Bahrain. Her Excellency Jameela Al-Sammak, the Deputy Minister, Expressed at the end of the meeting her sincere gratitude to His Excellency the Minister of Health for the good host, praising the Ministry’s efforts in providing high-quality health services.
