Consultant of developing programs of promoting mouth and teeth health and member of the Gulf committee of mouth and teeth health in the kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Azhar Naseeb said that the events of the Gulf fifth unified week of improving mouth and teeth health will start tomorrow Tuesday the 25th of March 2014 as this project's inauguration will be under generous sponsorship his Excellency, the minister of health Mr. Sadiq bin Abdulkarim Al-Shehabi in the hall of his highness prince Abulaziz bin Fahad bin Abdulaziz Al-Suad in princess Al-Jowhra bint Ebrahim Al-Ibrahim center and the events continue till 31 March 2014. This week will include many purposeful social activities and events in order to improve mouth and teeth health within members of the Bahraini society of its different age groups and the idea of celebrating the events of this unified Gulf week of mouth and teeth health in application to the most important items of the Gulf plan for mouth and teeth health care and also in response and activation of the decisions issued from the highness of the health ministers in the countries of the gulf cooperation council in their sixty fifth conference held in Geneva in 21 May 2008 and that is regarding mouth and teeth health and regarding the Gulf unified week of improving mouth and teeth health as decision number (4) stated in its items on that and the timing of the celebration should be in the last week of March every year and for the events of the Gulf unified week to concentrate on the topics of highest priority and one of the most important of them is "Prevention of dental caries in children" and the title of the celebration of the Gulf week will be this year 2014 "Teeth are health .. and beauty" and the general aim behind holding these events is spreading health awareness in different age groups of the society for the sake of improving mouth and teeth health and decreasing incidence of dental caries disease in children. This week will contain a group of social activities and events that include the participation of many sides of different governmental and private institutes and entertainment utilities and Malls for a large number of citizens and residents from different age groups to benefit from it like the one that will be held in Lulu hypermarket mall in Al-Hidd Area on Wednesday 26 March 2014, on Thursday 27 March 2014 in Seef Mall and on Saturday 29 March 2014 in Farmers Market and on Sunday 30 March 2014, events will be held in Al-Ramli Mall in A'ali Area as these events starts from 9 a.m till 2 p.m including festival, awareness and educational campaign about mouth and teeth health for school students and children and their families that go to malls and entertainment places to reach the largest number of the society's members in order to spread awareness and raise the level cultural awareness about mouth and teeth health among children and adults equally of citizens and residents and visitors from inside or outside the kingdom to improve mouth and teeth health for them and their children and concentrating on the importance of changing the negative concepts and beliefs regarding mouth and teeth health and increasing the awareness of the parents about the importance of caring for and watching health and hygiene of mouth and teeth in their children in addition to watching their nutritional meals that contain sugars and healthy school food bag of the child. This festival will be accompanied by an exhibition of the best ways that children and their parents and people should follow to keep the health and safety of mouth and teeth and ways of preventing dental caries and gums diseases and some health competitions will be held and drawing area for children that contains children drawings that express ways of keeping health teeth and some games for the children to send the health information by what suits the child's mind. On sidelines of that, free biological tests and general medical consultations for the participants and visitors like examining mouth and teeth, blood sugar test, measuring blood pressure, measuring height and weight etc. Brochures and gifts about improving mouth and teeth health will also be distributed among children, participants and visitors. Bahrain Cinema company will also host in one of the theatres in Seef mall school students on Thursday 27 March 2014 as an educational comic film will be displayed to the children and it is a production of mouth and teeth services in 2012 in the ministry of health under the title "Mohammed and Marwa in the teeth journey" and also the films of Dr. Rabbit and the legend of teeth Queen from the school program bright smiles to the future to improve health education in children and provide instructions and send health messages to protect them from dental caries disease and this event will be implemented in cooperation and coordination with the ministry of education and Seef Mall administration and that is to merge the events of the Gulf unified week of mouth and teeth health within the entertaining program of the family in confirmation on the principle of constructional social partnership as children and students will later make a tour inside the mall to send health messages to other children accompanied by a delegation from the ministry of health and ministry of education. On Saturday the 29th of March 2014 there will be a festival of improving mouth and teeth health in Farmers Market as it will be like an educational health day in an entertaining way for all those in Farmers Market. The events program in these days will contain some educational competitions and games about mouth and teeth health and a medical team will also provide instructions and health brochures and gifts and some free specimens of teeth cleaning tools like a brush, toothpaste, and educational brochures among the participants and school students and children. There will be also a group of events that will be held in some health centers and some schools and kindergartens and some of the institutes concerning children of special needs and elderly care and social centers in the different five governorates of the country. Finally, the events of the Gulf fifth unified week of mouth and teeth health will end on Monday 31 March 2014 as there will be participation of all school and kindergarten students and many governmental sides like Department of traffic education and the Indian Musical band and this day will include a group of different educational activities and the participants and supporters of the events of the Gulf fifth unified week of mouth and teeth health will be honored as shields and certificates and memorial gifts will be given to them in gratitude to all who participated and contributed achievement and success of this week. Gifts and some free specimens of brush and toothpaste and educational brochures will be also distributed among the participants and school students and children.
