Ministry of Health Portal got three awards this year 2011

“Ministry of Health Internet Portal” (www.moh.gov.bh) was selected as one of the Bahrain e-Content Award 2011 & Arab e-Content Award 2011 winners in eHealth Category, and also as one of eGovernment Excellence Award 2011 winners in eContent Category. The Jury of experts met in April 2011 to evaluate the products from different categories. During the evaluation, Ministry of Health website was selected to be one of the winners. The Ministry of Health aims to extend its services to the community through the official portal of the Ministry. The main objectives of MoH portal are: • To build awareness of MoH services, Departments, policies and procedures to people. • To raise awareness of the Health Care amongst Bahrain Community. • To build relationships with MoH customers including patients, Health Care professionals, suppliers, pharmacies, private hospitals and clinics. • To provide relevant and current information to a wide audience base. • To promote and maintain the corporate image of the MoH. • To ensure the provided information is in an accessible and usable manner. • To improve the health status and services in Bahrain. • To provide MoH services electronically and through different channels The MoH portal provides various electronic services such as: • Requesting Birth Certificate , • Registration of Hajj Medical Staff Agencies • Checking vaccination records of children, students and MoH Health workers, • Checking details of appointments previously booked at SMC clinics, • Checking readiness status of radiology reports, • Checking blood information and last date of donation, • Booking appointments at MoH private clinics, • Checking the drug prices, • Searching details of licensed Health professionals and Health Institutions. The Ministry of Health aims to launch more electronic services in the next coming months.
