Nursing Division at the College of Health Sciences celebrated International Nurses Day

International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth. The International Council of nurses celebrates this important event every year with a new scope and theme. The International Nurses Day theme for 2009 is: Delivering Quality, Serving Communities: Nurses Leading Care Innovations. The Nursing Division at the College of Health Sciences celebrated this important day. There were different activities carried out by the organization committee members, Siddiqa Ali, Naseema Al. Arrayed, Rukhsana Kawther, Sumaya Faraj, Naseem Saeed, Leena Abbas, Sameera Isa Ali, Narjis Mansoor and Emma Janahi. The program was started with the speech of Dean of College of Health Sciences Dr. Shawqi Ameen, and the Chairperson of Nursing Division, Mrs. Fatima Jamali. Three recently graduated students presented their internship project. A speech about innovation was given by Mrs. Kawther Taitoon. Students also participated at this occasion by a poem and a song. The program ended with a raffle and gifts were distributed to the guest speakers. Finally every body was amazed with the celebration surprise and nursing day cake was cut happily.
