Indications: Immmunization against pneumococcal disease caused by pneumococcal types included in the vaccine only. Use in selected individuals over 2 years of age as follows:

Patients who have anatomical dysfunction or who have splenic dysfunction due to sickle cell disease or other causes;

Persons with chronic illnesses in which there is increased risk of pneumococcal disease, such as functional impairment of cardiorespiratory, hepatic and renal systems;

Persons over 50 years of age or older;

Patients with other chronic diseases who may be at greater risk of developing pneumococcal infections; Patients with Hodgkin's disease if immunization can be given at least 10 days prior to treatment.

Contra-indications: Hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine; revaccination; previous immunization with any polyvalent pneumococcal vaccine.

Dose: Single dose of 0.5 ml SC or IM Avoid IV Injection.

Child under 2 years, not recommended.
