The Kingdom’s COVID-19 Alert Level Traffic Light System to be suspended until further notice: 28 March 2022
Following a review of the latest epidemiological developments and data, the National Medical Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (COVID-19) today announced that the Kingdom's COVID-19 Alert Level Traffic Light System will be suspended from Monday, 28 March 2022, until further notice.
The Taskforce stated that mask-wearing is now optional in both indoor and outdoor areas in accordance with precautionary guidelines, except for health facilities and areas that instruct otherwise.
The Taskforce emphasised the importance of wearing a mask, especially when in the company high-risk individuals, such as the elderly and those with chronic conditions.
The Taskforce noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s mitigation efforts have proven effective and stressed the importance of continuing to follow health measures to protect public health.
