The COVID-19 Green Alert Level to be re-adopted as the lowest alert level within the COVID-19 Alert Level Traffic Light System from 3 September
The National Medical Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (COVID-19) today announced that 75% of those aged 40 years and above, who are eligible for a booster, have received a booster dose.
The Taskforce expressed its appreciation for the quick response and commitment of all to get their booster doses meaning this percentage could be achieved in record time.
The Taskforce stated that the Green Alert Level will be re-adopted as the lowest level of the COVID-19 Alert Level Traffic Light System from Friday, 3 September 2021.
The booster doses maximise individuals immunity against COVID-19, which in turn lowers the risk of complications from severe illnesses and death. Anyone who is eligible who had not already done so should register and get their booster dose as soon as possible.
