The National Medical Taskforce for Combatting COVID-19: the goal is to administer booster shots to 95,000 individuals aged 40 and above to reach a target of 80%
The National Medical Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has announced that the total number of adults aged 40 and above who are eligible for a booster vaccination is 250,000. Of these individuals, 105,000 have already received a booster dose.
The Taskforce added that its goal is to provide booster vaccinations for 80% of those aged 40 and above who are eligible for a booster vaccination, which is equivalent to 95,000 additional people.
All those eligible for a booster dose are encouraged to register for and receive one to maximise their immunity to COVID-19 variants. This is of particular importance for at-risk groups and adults aged 40 and above.
