Health Ministry shuts one restaurant for violating precautionary measures
The Health Ministry shut down one restaurant yesterday Friday for delivering indoor services, in violation of the measures announced by the National Medical Taskforce for Combating COVID-19, approved by the Executive Committee.
The Food Control Section at the Public Health Directorate took action against the restaurants which were found in breach of the mandatory precautionary measures and referred them to competent legal authorities.
The Ministry of Health coordinated the clampdown with the Ministry of Interior and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA).
Food control inspectors visited 195 restaurants and took measures against 27 for violating the prescribed precautionary measures for combating the pandemic.
