Health Minister urges compliance for a safe Ramadan
Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al Saleh extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the holy month of Ramadan, wishing the Arab and Islamic nations many happy returns.
She urged full compliance with the decisions and directives issued by the National Medical Taskforce for Combating COVID-19 to protect public safety and support efforts to curb the pandemic and reduce infections.
The minister stressed the neet to adhere to the recommendations of National Medical Taskforce for Combating COVID-19 and support efforts to ensure a safety Ramadan, by avoiding gatherings, Ramadan banquets (Ghabga) in public place, and the distribution of Iftar meals in the streets, urging Zakat collection kiosks to be replaced with online platforms.
The minister said said that inspection campaigns would be intensified during the holy month of Ramadan, adding that violators found in breach of the mandatory measures would face legal action.
She underscored the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination with relevant authorities and working with the one-team spirit to potect the safety of people and the homeland.
