The Ministry of Health extends COVID-19 related precautionary measures

In response to decisions taken by the Government Executive Committee, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Ministry of Health has extended COVID-19 related precautionary measures for an additional 3 months, in line with recommendations from the National Medical Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

Under the decision, the provisions of Resolution No. (38) of 2020, concerning health requirements and procedures at commercial and industrial premises, have been extended for an additional 3 months upon expiration on 28 February 2021.

 

Decision No. (39) of 2020, concerning social distancing measures practiced at commercial and industrial premises, has also been extended for an additional 3 months upon expiration on 28 February 2021.

 

Resolution No. (64) of 2020, concerning the health screening of workers employed at commercial and industrial premises, has been extended for an additional 3 months upon expiration on 28 February 2021.

 

The suspension of service fees for foreigners attending health centres, under Resolution No. (47) of 2020, and of fees for general medical consultations for non-Bahrainis under Resolution No. (2) of 2017, have been extended for an additional 3 months upon expiration on 28 February 2021.

 

The Ministry underlined the importance of remaining vigilant and adhering to precautionary measures in support of ongoing COVID-19 mitigation efforts.
