Compliance with health protocols urged to curb COVID-19 spike
A Health Ministry consultant physician stressed the importance of complying with the mandatory precautionary measures for combating the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Dr. Ghada Alzayani urged all people to show national responsibility and harness all efforts to curb the pandemic and help reduce active cases in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In a statement today, she stressed the need to commit strictly to social distancing and limited family gatherings to avoid infections.
She urged the public to comply with the precautionary guidelines and mandatory measures set by the National Taskforce for Combating COVID-19 and avoid going out unless necessary.
She stressed the necessity of wearing face masks, washing hands and sanitizing them and sterilizing flat areas, underscoring the importance of protecting all social categories, especially the elderly, children, pregnant women and patients suffering from chronic diseases.
Dr. Alzayani said that preventive means from the virus are accessible to everyone and easy to apply compared to the consequences of contracting the virus, stressing the need to harness all efforts in the coming period to curb the spike in infections which resulted from complacency and recklessness.
She commended the medical personnel and health professionals who stood in the frontline since the outbreak of the pandemic in the Kingdom of Bahrain to protect people and ensure their safety.
