Measures for successfull Ashoora season stated

The National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus held a meeting with Jaafari Endowments regarding Ashoora season and approved precautionary measures to complete the season successfully.

This came in support of the national efforts to limit the spread of coronavirus and based on the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA)'s orders to continue the suspension of collective worship, religious gatherings until reaching the required reduction of the virus infection numbers as decided by medical authorities.
 
  The National Taskforce issued the following  precautionary measures:
1. The attendees shall be seated outside the Hussainiya in rows, with two meters space between each one in every direction.
 
2. The attendees shall remain on their seats the whole time.
 
3. If Hussainiya’s committee or those in charge see the possibility of performing Hussaini march ritual in the Hussainya area, it should be only with a commitment to social distancing, to ensure the health and safety of the participants.
 
4. Hussainiya’s committee or officials should ensure the implementation of the precautionary measures: wearing face masks, social distancing, distribute tissue papers and antiseptics with 70% alcohol all over the site, and prevent the distribution of food and water.
 
5. Children, elderly and people with chronic diseases are not allowed to attend those gatherings for their safety.
 
6. Attendees are obliged to offer condolences in their residential areas only; since their participation in other areas may contribute to spreading the infection.
