Public Prosecution, Health Ministry hold coordination meeting
As part of the tireless efforts to curb coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, a coordination meeting was held between the Public Prosecution and Health Ministry officials, in the presence of Acting Senior Advocate General Chancellor Dr. Ahmed Al Hammadi.
The meeting cast light on mapping out a specific mechanism for a constructive comprehensive system between the Public Prosecution and the Health Ministry to combat the spread of COVID-19. Commitment to all procedures imposed to isolate infected people or suspicious cases were stressed. Other procedures like closing public outlets and reducing gatherings were also reviewed.
The meeting also shed light on legal requirements which have to be finalized regarding any violations of the measures taken to curb COVID-19 outbreak.
The Public Prosecution underlined resolve to take immediate and decisive action against violating the procedures and infringing the provisions of the Public Health Law and the preventative measures aimed at protecting the society.
