Ministry of Health tests workers at shared accommodation as part of contact tracing efforts
As part of the Ministry of Health’s contact tracing efforts to contain the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Ministry has tested a number of workers at a shared accommodation who had interacted with an active COVID-19 case.
The Ministry coordinated with the company owner of the shared accommodation, who fully cooperated and responded to all inquiries, and was able to test all workers who had stayed at the accommodation to ensure they do not have the virus.
The Ministry noted that all tests returned negative, however, all workers have been quarantined and are being monitored by a specialised medical team for 14 days to ensure they remain free of the virus, in line with international guidelines.
The Ministry further noted that the company owner has allowed the accommodation to be the place of quarantine for the workers, adding that their salaries would not be affected.
The Ministry extended its gratitude to the company owner for his sense of national responsibility in supporting the Kingdom’s efforts in containing the spread of the virus, and emphasised that his cooperation is much appreciated.
