His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, today received a number of senior officials and members of the Council of Representatives and Shura Council, at Gudaibiya Palace.

HRH the Crown Prince highlighted Bahrain’s dedicated commitment to overcoming various challenges, adding that a united Team Bahrain is key to ensuring the Kingdom’s continued development, in line with the vision of HM the King.

HRH the Crown Prince emphasised that current challenges presented by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) require the national responsibility of all, as a united Team Bahrain, to collaborate on combating the virus, and ensure the health and safety of all citizens and residents. 

On this note, HRH the Crown Prince commended the unwavering efforts of Team Bahrain, comprised of the Executive Authority, Legislative Authority, private sector and citizens and residents, in ensuring the success of efforts in combating COVID-19.

HRH the Crown Prince noted the importance of doubling the Kingdom’s wide-ranging preventative and precautionary measures, in addition to increasing testing, quarantine, isolation and treatment capacities, to ensure the challenge of combatting COVID-19 can be met and overturned.

For their part, the senior officials and members of the Council of Representatives and Shura Council attending the meeting expressed their appreciation for HRH the Crown Prince’s continued support to the efforts aimed at containing COVID-19 and safeguarding the health and well-being of the Kingdom’s citizens and residents.
