His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, today received HE Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Council of Representatives Speaker, and HE Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, at HRH’s majlis in Gudaibiya Palace.

HRH the Crown Prince began by affirming that Bahrain continues to enact strict precautionary measures designed to ensure the continued safety of citizens and residents amid the global outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID19).

HRH the Crown Prince noted that the Ministry of Health is following the highest standards of epidemiological monitoring to prevent the virus from spreading, following the report of the first confirmed case in the Kingdom.

HRH the Crown Prince added that preventive efforts require constructive, strategic cooperation among the government, citizens and residents, urging all to adhere to the established health guidelines.

For their part, the Council of Representatives Speaker and the Shura Council Chairman expressed their gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince for continually supporting efforts to safeguard the health and well-being of citizens.

The meeting was also attended by HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, HE Sameer Abdulla Nass, Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of senior officials.
