Contact Tracing Highlights

 

  1. Cluster 92057: A 29-year-old female citizen tested positive through random community screening.  Contact tracing revealed 6 positive cases across 3 different households, all of whom had direct contact with the index case.  The cases detected are family related and include the index case’s parents, son, sister, niece and nephew.  One additional case was identified as a case of secondary infection who is a friend of one of the immediate family members.
  2. Cluster 91233: Contact tracing of a 27-year-old female citizen who tested positive after developing symptoms revealed 8 positive cases across 2 different households.  The cases detected are among the index case’s family and include her husband, children, a young relative, and father-in-law. 
  3. Cluster 91539: A 22-year-old male citizen tested positive after developing symptoms.  Through contact tracing, 10 positive cases were detected among the same family.  The cases include his mother and siblings, living in two households.
  4. Cluster 90899: Contact tracing of a 42-year-old female citizen who tested positive after developing symptoms revealed 11 positive cases across 4 different households, all of whom had direct contact with the index case.  The cases are family related and include the index case’s parents, in-laws, sister and sister in-law, and nieces and nephews.
  5. Cluster 90491: Contact tracing of a 34-year-old female expatriate who tested positive after arriving in Bahrain, identified her husband as a positive case.  Further contact tracing of the husband, identified 5 cases that are work-related.  In addition, through one of the work cases, an additional positive case was identified in a co-worker’s family.  This cluster resulted in 7 positive cases, where one was through direct contact and the rest were secondary infections.
  6. Cluster 91541: A 52-year-old male citizen tested positive after developing symptoms.  Through contact tracing, 7 positive cases were identified across 3 different households.  The cases detected are family related and include the index case’s mother, wife, sons, daughter, and son-in-law, all of whom had direct contact with him.
